Lookbook Showcasing Premium Fashion in Everyday Moments by Paris Fashion Photographer
As a Paris fashion photographer, I had the opportunity to work on a brand lookbook for Miss Ressy, a young brand from Indonesia known for its use of premium materials like silk, cashmere, tweed, and linen. The result? A stunning visual narrative of eight distinctive looks captured in iconic Parisian settings.
First, what is a lookbook? A lookbook is more than just a collection of outfits—it's a visual storytelling tool.
It's a curated collection of photographs that allows brands to present their designs in real-world contexts, usually styled on models in a way that creates a narrative. It serves as both a marketing tool and a style guide, helping potential customers or fashion insiders see how the pieces can be worn, paired and styled. Lookbooks often have a thematic or artistic approach, focusing on storytelling to elevate the brand's image. They are commonly used for:
- Fashion campaigns
- E-commerce sites
- Presenting new seasonal collections
- Inspiring styling ideas for customers
In short, a lookbook translates a brand’s vision into a visual experience.
For Miss Ressy's lookbook photoshoot in Paris, we sought to blend high-end fashion with the essence of Parisian daily life. Each of the eight looks was captured in different life situations—buying a fresh baguette at a local bakery, picking up fresh flowers from a charming shop, heading to work, enjoying a leisurely stroll in the park, or relaxing with coffee and a newspaper on a terrace. These authentic scenes helped to highlight the versatility and elegance of Miss Ressy’s collection, which focuses on luxurious, yet practical materials.
The soft drape of silk, the coziness of cashmere, and the structured sophistication of tweed came together to create a perfect blend of refinement and functionality, making each look timeless and chic. Paris, with its effortless style, provided the ideal backdrop for showcasing these outfits.
I am excited to share this beautiful Paris lookbook project, which brings together the best of Miss Ressy’s designs and the captivating charm of Parisian life.
